• Government planned India’s longest 600 km (5-6 hours) expressway to connect Delhi and Katran (J & K) – INR 15,000 Cr.
• Arun Jaitely announced that the govt. has accepted the recommendations of the Justice A.P. Shah Committee on MAT(indirect tax)- under Section 115JA pay a MAT @ 18.5%.
• PM Narendra Modi(3rd PM) participated in the concluding ceremony of the 3-day International Buddhist Conclave concluding ceremony at Bodh Gaya-Delegates from 47 countries.
• Haryana govt. passed Panchayati Raj (Amendment) Bill, 2015 and fixes minimum educational qualification relating to eligibility criteria for elections to Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) – second state after Rajasthan.
• PM released ` 125 and ` 10 coins to honour of former President Dr. S Radhakrishnan on Teachers’ day.
• Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh announced 33% reservation to women in all para-military forces. Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) will recruit women under 33% reservations.
• Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani launched national web portal at New Delhi for promotion of a national apprenticeship scheme for Graduates, Diploma holders and 10+2 pass-outs- Logo and a Slogan – “Sashakt Yuva, Samarth Bharat”.
• E-Tourist Visa scheme extended to 37 more countries to attract maximum foreign tourists by Tourism ministry at Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO).
• West Bengal CM, Mamata Banerjee release 64 files on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose – display at Kolkata Police Museum.
• Kerala CM Chandrababu Naidu launched the ‘New Tourism Policy-2015-20 to develop AP as one of the most preferred tourist destinations – ` 10,000 crore.
• Supreme court seek review of ban on CMs’ photos in ads – Exception: Prime Minister, President and Chief Justice of India.
• Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal approves “Victim Compensation Scheme” :
• Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment (Independent Charge), Shri Bandaru Dattatraya launched three new mobile based services for Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) members Mobile Application(app in epfindia.gov.in), SMS based UAN Activation (SMS to 7738299899) and Missed Call service (01122901406)
• PM launches financial inclusion initiative in Varanasi 101-rickshaws, 501 pedal rickshaws and bank accounts and RuPay cards under (PMJDY).
• Election Commission of India (ECI) launched the new symbol for the “None of The Above” (NOTA) designed by the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.
• Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar adopted Barauliya village in Amethi under Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojna.
• Narendra Modi addressed the India-US Startup Konnect and share his vision on “Start up India, Stand up India” as part of his US visit organized by IT industry NASSCOM
• PM Modi visit to US :
1. Meeting With Ceos Of Fortune 500 : Theme of “Media, Technology And Communications – Growth Story For India”.
2. Modi Addressed UN Sustainable Development Summit – 17 goals – New framework – “Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”
3. PM Modi hosted a G-4 Summit with leaders of G-4 nations Brazil, Germany and Japan in New York.
4. Visit to Silicon Valley & San Jose – Google to provide India a set up base for free Wi-Fi at 500 railway stations.
5. Startup Konnect was held by NASSCOM in partnership with TiE Silicon Valley and IIM Ahmedabad’s CIIE India
6. MoU between Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms and the California Institute for Quantitative Biosciences, IIM Ahmedabad’s Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) and Lester Centre for Entrepreneurship of the Haas Business School of the University of California,CIIE and Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator,CIIE and Google, CIIE and Tata Trust.
7. $2.5-billion helicopter deal of Chinook and Apache was signed.
