Toughest law against plastic bags

Kenya has imposed world’s toughest laws to reduce plastic pollution, with people selling or using plastic bags at risk of up to 4 years in prison & fines of up to 4m Kenyan shillings. With this move, Kenya joins 40 other countries that have banned, partly banned or taxed single use plastic bags, including China, France & Italy. It took Kenya 3 attempts over 10 years to finally pass the ban.
