Dhoni played 500 international matches

The Indian team’s senior-most player Mahendra Singh Dhoni reached the coveted milestone of playing 500 international matches during the second T20 International against England. In doing so, Dhoni became the third Indian after Sachin Tendulkar (664) and Rahul Dravid (509) to breach the 500 match barrier in international cricket. He has played 90 Test matches and 318 One Day Internationals.

‘Star Khel Mahakumbh’ Launched At HP

BJP MP Anurag Thakur and cricketing great Sachin Tendulkar has launched ‘Star Khel Mahakumbh’ at Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh. The initiative has been designed in a manner as to attract participation of at least one lakh youth from across 5000 villages and 800 panchayats. The athletes will compete in volleyball, basketball, cricket, football, kabaddi and athletics.

Sachin made T20 Mumbai League’s ambassador

Sachin Tendulkar has been made the brand ambassador of the upcoming T20 Mumbai League.The league will be organised by Sports India Pvt Ltd, a consortium of IIFL Group as Lead Member and Wizcraft, with the approval and sanction of the Mumbai Cricket Association. 6 teams from Mumbai North, North-West, North-East, North- Central, South-Central and South will participate in the League.

‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ won 2 awards

24 : “Sachin: A Billion Dreams”, a biopic on cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar has won two awards at the recently concluded 11th Tehran International FICTS Festival 2018.Helmer James Erskine won the trophy for the Best Director of a Long Documentary and an honorary diploma. Producer Ravi Bhagchandka received the Special Award for the Best Film in the Long Documentary section.

Sachin gave fund for foot overbridge

Cricket icon and Rajya Sabha member Sachin Tendulkar has sanctioned Rs 2 crore for revamp of rail foot over bridges in Mumbai. The fund is given from his Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme fund. On September 29, 23 people were killed in the rush-hour stampede on a narrow foot overbridge (FOBs) linking Elphinstone Road and Parel suburban stations during heavy rain.

Smaaash raises Rs. 280 crore

14 : Sachin Tendulkar-backed sports-based entertainment company Smaaash Entertain-ment has raised Rs. 280 cr through debt & equity. Smaaash owns and operates sports-centric digital entertainment centres for games such as cricket, football, go-karting, bowling & a host of virtual games. This is not the 1st round of institutional fund-raising for Smaaash. In 2014, it raised Rs. 65 cr from Fidelis World

Tendulkar launches Mission-24

Tendulkar welcomes INS Tarkash to London

Sachin Tendulkar welcomed an Indian naval frigate as it docked on the river Thames in London on Monday. INS Tarkash, a state-of-the art stealth ship, is in the UK for naval exercises and to mark UK India Year of Culture 2017. INS Tarkash, under the command of Captain Rituraj Sahu, set sail from Mumbai last month and will remain docked in London until next week.

Sachin Tendulkar: Face for Clean Ganga

Sachin Tendulkar may be the new face of the National Mission for Clean Ganga. Prime Minister’s Office is preparing a mega campaign to sensitise people about the need to reduce pollution in the holy river. Next month onwards, events and activities around the Ganga Dussehra, Ganga Ekadashi and a Char Dham yatra are also being planned to generate public interest.
