Djokovic clinches fourth Wimbledon title

Novak Djokovic defeated South Africa’s Kevin Anderson to clinch his fourth Wimbledon title. This is Djokovic’s first Grand Slam victory in more than two years. With 13 major titles, Djokovic now stands in fourth place in the all-time Grand Slam singles final list, behind Roger Federer (20), Rafael Nadal (17) and Pete Sampras (14).

Borna Coric wins Halle Open 2018

Crotia’s Borna Coric defeated Swiss tennis ace Roger Federer in the final of the Halle Open 2018. Coric, 21, won 7-6 (8-6) 3-6 6-2 to end the Wimbledon champion – Roger Federer’s run of 20 consecutive victories on grass. With this Spainard, Rafael Nadal took over as World No. 1 Coric became only the sixth player to defeat Federer in a grass court final.

Roger Federer wins Mercedes Cup

Roger Federer wins Mercedes Cup 2018 in Stuttgart by beating Milos Raonic of Canada. He had already secured number one in the world ranking by defeating Nick Kyrgios in the semi- final and this is his 98th tour title. He will be competing at Halle Open in June 2018

Nadal won 8th Rome Masters 2018

Rafael Nadal won the Rome Masters for the 8th time after he defeated the defending champion Alexander Zverev 6-1, 1-6, 6-3 in the finals. The win is Nadal’s 78th ATP Tour title and takes him clear of John McEnroe into 4th place in the list of most men’s titles won in the Open era. The victory means Nadal will reclaim the Number 1 ranking from Federer.

Federer wins ATP Indian Masters title

Roger Federer added another feather in his hat by winning the ATP Indian Wells Masters title. Federer claimed a record-equalling 5th title at Indian Wells, continuing his career resurgence with a 6-4, 7-5 victory over Stan Wawrinka. He had earlier won this title consecutively 3 times between 2004 and 2006 and in 2012. Federer is the oldest ATP player to win one of the elite Masters titles.
