CM Raman Singh launches online pension system

19 : Chhattisgarh CM Dr. Raman Singh launched an online portal and mobile app called ‘Aabhaar-Aapki Seva ka’ for the pensioners of the state. Through this app and the website, 80,000 pensioners of the state will get all the information related to pension and payment online. The beneficiaries will be provided updates via SMS regarding the status of their pension account.

India’s first internet telephony service

11 : BSNL has unveiled 1st internet telephony service in India that will allow users to dial any telephone number in India through its mobile app, “Wings”. Before this, phone calls on mobile apps was possible within users of a particular app & not on telephone numbers. BSNL customers will be able to make calls on any network in the country even by using BSNL Wi-Fi or any other service provider.

Punjab launched Mobile App- ‘I-Hariyali’

The Punjab Government has launched a mobile application named ‘i-Hariyali’ aimed at increasing the state’s green cover. The mobile application would enable the users to order free plant saplings. The ‘i-Hariyali’ app, under ‘Mission Tandarust Punjab’ can be downloaded from the app store for free.

Himachal launches app for ration card holders

The food, civil supplies and consumer affairs department of Himachal Pradesh has launched a mobile app for ration card holders.The app will function as a digital ration card and beneficiaries can open it on their android phones to make transaction at fair price shop, submit complaints and suggestions and contact department officers.This app is available under the name of ePDS.

Govt to link 200 more mandis to eNAM

The government will link additional 200 wholesale mandis to the online trading platform eNAM this fiscal and also encourage inter-mandi transactions. Online trading on the eNAM platform can be done through the website, trading platform or the Mobile App. At present, 585 regulated mandis in 14 States are linked with the electronic National Agriculture Market (eNAM) launched in April 2016.

M-Awas for allotment of Govt. homes

Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs (I/C) launched a Mobile App (m-Awas) for allotment of Government accommodations in General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA).The application has been developed by NIC. The dedicated application of online allotment i.e. e-Awas will support this App. The app is user friendly and can be made operative from an android mobile phone.

New website & App of NCSK launched

The new Website and Mobile App of the ‘National Commission for Safai Karamcharis’ (NCSK) was launched by Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment.The new website and Mobile App will help the Commission in addressing the grievances/complaints of petitioners in an efficient manner. The new website is as per the Government of India Guidelines for official websites.

CISF launched lost and found app for airports

CISF launched its lost and found mobile app for passengers at 59 airports across India. The app, named UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance), offers three facilities – lost and found items at airports, tracking complaints or request status and technical consultancy in security and fire services. The CISF had in 2015 launched a lost and found section on its website.

NCRB launches Mobile App useful for Citizens

The National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) has introduced Citizen Services Mobile App, which is a bouquet of 9 police related services. These services will provide a smooth interface between Citizens and Police. Another feature of the App also enables a complainant to download FIR. States/UTs can host this App on their platform through which citizens can register Police Complaint.

Nitin Gadkari to launch Sukhad Yatra App

Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping, Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Shri Nitin Gadkari will launch a mobile App and Toll-free number. Sukhad Yatra mobile application has been prepared by NHAI, to empower the Highway user. A toll-free number, 1033, will enable users to report an emergency condition, or highway-related feedback, across the highway.
