The 28th meeting of GST council was held in New Delhi on 21st July 2018 under the Chairmanship of Piyush Goyal, Union Minister for Railways, Coal, Finance & Corporate Affairs. Refrigerators, washing machines, Lithium-ion batteries, Vacuum cleaners were reduced from 28% to 18% tax rate. Sanitary Napkins, Coir pith compost, Rakhi were exempted from tax slab from previous 12% tax slab.

The 8th BRICS Health Ministers’ Meeting was held at Durban, South Africa. The meeting was led by Mr J P Nadda, Union Minister of Health who stated India’s commitment to eliminate TB by 2025. India has achieved the reduction in the maternal mortality ratio (MMR) by 77% to 130 per 1 lakh live births as recommended by WHO SEARO. The 1st BRIC Summit was held in 2009 in Yekaterinburg, Russia.

Chopra wins Gold at Sotteville Athletics Meet

Neeraj Chopra, India’s javelin star, struck Gold in the Meeting International de Sotteville-les-Rouen in France. Chopra’s throw of 85.17m was enough to clinch the top spot on the podium. The winning distance from Chopra was, however, less than the 86.47m he achieved for gold at Gold Coast CWG. Neeraj is a part of India’s squad for the Asian Games 2018.

Sushma Swaraj embarks two-day visit to Manama

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will today embark on a two-day visit to Manama to co-chair the second High Joint Commission meeting with her Bahraini counterpart Shaikh Al Khalifa. Mrs Swaraj will inaugurate the new Chancery building complex and address the Indian community. The visit is expected to provide an opportunity to identify new areas of cooperation between both countries.

Elevanil wins gold in junior shooting meet

Young Indian shooter Elavenil Valarivan claimed the women’s air rifle gold medal in the 28th Meeting of Shooting Hopes junior international championship in Plzen, Czech Republic. She shot 250.8 in the final to get the better of Italy’s Nicole Gabrielli (249.7). She had also topped the qualification with 628.0. Aleksandra Szutko of Poland won the bronze with 228.2.

Delhi Police to control CCTV project

A panel set up by Delhi L-G Anil Baijal has said Delhi government’s flagship CCTV project will not be controlled by the AAP government but will be under the L-G via Delhi Police. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal called the panel “illegal” and directed PWD Secretary Manoj Parida to propose the installation of one lakh cameras in the next cabinet meeting.

Rajnath to chair 2-day plenary meet

A 2-day plenary meeting of NE Council will be chaired by the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Shillong. He will discuss development projects with the Governors and CM of northeast states in the presence of Union Minister for Development of NE Region. Some of the major issues set to be discussed at the meet would be water resources management, POSHAN Abhiyan, road connectivity, and more.

Ram Vilas Paswan to attend UNCTAD meet

Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan will attend the UNCTAD meeting of a third inter-governmental group of experts on consumer protection on July 9-10 in Geneva. The group has been set up under the revised UN Guidelines on Consumer Protection. The session will also deliberate on measures on protection of vulnerable & disadvantaged consumers. UNCTAD is the UN body looking after consumer issues.

Nepal, India to jointly promote tourism

The 2nd meeting of the joint working group on tourism cooperation between India and Nepal concluded in Kathmandu, Nepal. Both sides agreed to jointly promote Buddhist and Ramayana circuits and Adventure tourism. The meeting also decided to set up an industry-led India Nepal Tourism Forum. The Indian delegation was led by the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tourism Suman Billa.

Union Bank of India to raise equity capital

Union Bank of India will raise equity capital of ` 1500 crore. The proposal was approved at its annual general meeting by the bank’s shareholders. The bank said that this capital raise will be in addition to the capital support which has been granted by the government.

1st meeting of Cauvery Water Management Board

The first meeting of the Cauvery Water Management Board will be held in New Delhi to resolve the dispute among southern states. The meeting of the 9-member board will be chaired by the Central Water Commission Chairman S Masood Hussain. The meeting will discuss the issues including water storage in Cauvery basin reservoirs with the judgement of the Supreme Court in this regard.

Final Nepal-India EPG meeting ends

The 9th & final meeting of Eminent Persons Group on Nepal-India Relations concluded in Kathmandu. The Representatives from Nepal & India deliberated upon various bilateral issues including 1950 Peace & Friendship treaty, trade, transit and border. EPG is a joint mechanism consisting of experts & intellectuals from India & Nepal to make suggestions for updating existing bilateral agreements.

U.S. postpones 2+2 dialogue with India

US has postponed its inaugural 2+2 dialogue with India, citing “unavoidable reasons”. The dialogue was to be held on July 6, Sushma Swaraj and Nirmala Sitharaman were to take part in the meeting with US secretary of state Michael Pompeo and secretary of defence James Mattis. The meeting was expected to focus on strengthening strategic, security, and defence cooperation.

Fourth National Consultation of Ministers

The fourth National Consultation Meeting of Ministers of States & UTs, in-charge of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs is being held on 29th June 2018 in New Delhi. The meeting will be chaired by Shri Ram Vilas Paswan, Union Minister of Consumer Affairs. The consultation will be on measures for improving consumer protection and welfare including Public Distribution System etc.

The 15th annual Asia and Oceania region inter-governmental meeting on Anti-doping begins in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The 2 day meeting would be based on how to ensure compliance with world anti-doping code, support capacity building & also conduct research to prevent athletes falling victims to doping. World Anti – Doping Agency (WADA) is the governing body with its president Sir Craig Reedie.

PM Modi to chair NITI Aayog meeting

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the fourth meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog at Rashtrapati Bhawan. The Governing Council will also review the work done during the previous year and deliberates upon the future developmental priorities. The Governing Council of NITI Aayog is the premier body tasked with evolving a shared vision of national development.

Regional Road Corporation in Northeast

The northeast is the only region in India for which the Centre has formulated a Regional Road Corporation to boost development. Union Minister Jitendra Singh announced this in a meeting of the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER). The eight states of the northeast will now receive 100 per cent funding for central schemes.

Murali became 2nd fastest Indian in 10,000 m

Young long-distance runner Gavit Murali Kumar bagged a gold in men’s 10,000 m race at the Gouden Spike meeting in Leiden, Netherlands. He became the second fastest Indian in this event. The 21-year-old Kumar, a bright talent from Gujarat, clocked a personal best of 28 minutes 43.34 seconds, the best by an Indian in the ongoing season.

Maldives’s deadline on taking back helicopters

Sushma Swaraj held a high-power meeting to discuss a deadline set by the Maldives for India to withdraw its helicopters gifted to the island nation. Tensions over the presence of the two Indian helicopters in two different strategically important locations in Laamu and Addu atolls have been growing. The Maldives has given India a deadline by the month-end to remove its helicopters.

RBI’s Monetary Policy Committee began meeting

RBI’s Monetary Policy Committee headed by RBI Governor Urjit Patel began its 3-day meeting in Mumbai on June 4. Due to certain administrative exigencies, the six-member committee is meeting for three days instead of the usual two days. It was in January 2014 that the RBI had last raised the short-term lending rate to 8% since then it has either reduced it or maintained status quo.

Sushma Swaraj to visit South Africa

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has left for South Africa on a five-day visit. During the visit, Mrs Swaraj is expected to have meetings with top leadership of South Africa. Government meets fiscal deficit target

Government has met its fiscal deficit target for 2017-18 at 3.53% of the Gross Domestic Product. Government in the Budget had revised the fiscal deficit target for 2017-18 to 3.5% from the earlier estimate of 3.2%. For the current fiscal year, government estimates to trim the deficit to 3.3% of GDP. Fiscal deficit is the difference between total revenue & total expenditure of the government

Govt approves construction of 1.5 lakh houses

The Centre has approved construction of 1.5 lakh houses for urban poor under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). The approval was given in the 34th meeting of the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee. Under the PMAY(U), the Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry targets construction of 1.2 crore houses for urban poor by 2022.

India to attend WTO members meet in Paris

India and other key members of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) will discuss ways to combat growing protectionism across the world at an informal meeting of select Trade Ministers at the OECD meet in Paris. India has been invited to participate in the informal Ministerial meeting hosted by Australia in Paris. The OECD meet is taking place between May 31 and June 3.

Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma became president of the Badminton Association of India in April 2018.

Uttarakhand Cabinet held meeting in a boat

The Uttarakhand Cabinet organised a meeting in a boat named Marina on the Tehri Reservoir. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat was present for the cabinet meeting. Notably, a cabinet meeting was held outside the capital of the state for the first time ever. Famous Tehri Dam is located on the river Bhagirathi.

SAWEN’s 1st meeting in India

The South Asia Wildlife Enforcement Network (SAWEN), an inter-govern-mental wildlife law enforcement agency, held its first-ever meeting in India. SAWEN was launched in Bhutan in 2011. 1st tourism ministerial meeting between the members of Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held in Wuhan, China. The meeting approved an action plan that will serve as a guideline for tourism cooperation between SCO member states from 2019 to 2020. Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting Begins in London

The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM 2018) has begun in London, the UK. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part in the event on 19th and 20th of April. The theme of the summit is ‘Towards a Common Future’. The biennial event has brought together delegates from 53 Commonwealth nations.

Centre Approves ` 2900 Cr for Women Safety

Women and Child Development Ministry has approved projects worth over ` 2,900 crore under the Nirbhaya fund for eight major cities to make them safer for women. These cities are Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Lucknow. The decision was taken after a meeting of Empowered Committee, which is headed by Women and Child Development Secretary.

Evidence of particle predicted in 1970s found

A team of over 100 physicists at the Large Hadron Collider in France claimed to have found a potential evidence of the existence of a subatomic quasiparticle called ‘Odderon’.It’s existence was first predicted in the 1970s.The finding, which was brought about during the analysis of proton collisions, may help refine the current Standard Model of particle physics.

Railways to get high-speed locomotive

Indian Railways’ all new 12,000 horsepower electric locomotive would be rolled out in March.It is produced in collaboration with Alstom of France and can run at speeds of up to 120 kmph.The all new engine would be rolled out in March this year, when president of France, Macron will visit India to participate in the International Solar Alliance meeting.

CPI(M) veteran Khagen Das passes away

Khagen Das, CPI(M) veteran and chairman of the Left Front Committee of Tripura, died in Kolkata on Sunday.Mr. Das, 81, died within minutes of his admission to a hospital for chest pain.He was in Kolkata to attend the party’s central committee meeting. Mr. Das served as a Minister and member of the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha.

Many govt offices will close unless a compromise is found before midnight deadline. Last US shutdown happened in 2013 over health care policy lasted for 16 days.

DAC clears procurement of carbines

A proposal worth Rs 3,547 crore to procure assault rifles and carbines was cleared by the Defence Acquisition Council.Under the proposal, 72,000 assault rifles and 93,895 carbines will be procured on the “fast track basis”. The procurement is to “enable the defence forces to meet their immediate requirement for the troops deployed on the borders”.

India attends its first SCO meeting

India, for the first time, took part in a meeting of the international military cooperation departments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation since joining the bloc last year.An Indian delegation led by Major General Ajay Seth participated in the meeting. The two-day meeting concluded on Tuesday.

BSES launches rooftop solar initiative

In an initiative to promote clean energy, BSES launched the country’s first solar rooftop consumer aggregation programme for residential buildings in New Delhi.In the first phase of the programme, around 150 residential societies will be targeted in the Dwarka area. It would help BRPL in meeting its renewable purchase obligation, as well as minimising overloading issues in congested areas.

SEBI approved norms to improve governance in mutual funds and credit rating agencies and deepen the securities markets. Sebi also did its bit to help tackle India’s Rs.10 trillion stressed asset problem at a meeting of its board in Mumbai.A sponsor of a mutual fund or its associates cannot hold more than 10% in any other asset management company or have a board seat.

Niti Aayog seeks methanol economy fund

Niti Aayog, the government’s policy-making body, will soon move a Cabinet note outlining the roadmap for a methanol mission for India through a Rs 5,000-crore methanol economy fund.It will kickstart generation of this alternative energy source from January 1, 2018. The Aayog will hold a high-level meeting of its task force on methanol economy following which a roadmap will be laid out.

India to Host Meeting of WTO Members

India will host a meeting of WTO member countries in February 2018 to muster support for food security and other issues.The announcement was made by Commerce & Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu. The meeting would be in the backdrop of developed nations forming groupings to prepare the ground for pushing investment facilitation, preparing rules for e-commerce, promoting gender equality.

Shamli District Included in NCR

Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district has been included in the national capital region, taking the total number of districts in the NCR to 23.The decision was taken at the 37th meeting of the National Capital Region Planning Board held in New Delhi.Besides Delhi, there are at present 22 districts- 13 of Haryana, seven of Uttar Pradesh and two of Rajasthan in the NCR.

UAE & Saudi Arabia forms a new group

UAE has announced that it has formed a new economic & partnership group with Saudi Arabia, separate from Gulf Cooperation Council.The announcement comes just hours ahead of a GCC meeting in Kuwait which is expected to focus on diplomatic crisis that has engulfed member-state Qatar.The announcement did not say whether any other Gulf Arab countries would be invited to join this new group.

15th Finance Commission hold 1st meeting

The first meeting of the newly constituted 15th Finance Commission took place in New Delhi. The Commission will review the current status of the finance, deficit, debt levels, cash balances and fiscal discipline efforts of the union and states. It will make recommendations for five years commencing 1st April, 2020.It is being headed by former Secretary and ex-Member of Parliament NK Singh.

Over 1 lakh more houses under PMAY(U)

Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has approved the construction of additional 1.12 lakh affordable houses for urban poor under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).This decision was taken at the 28th meeting of the CSMC, held in New Delhi on November 29, 2017.Under PMAY(U), the government has set a target to provide houses to all urban poor by 2022.

HEFA approves projects worth Rs. 2,067cr

2nd meeting of Higher Education Funding Agency (HEFA) Board was held on November 29, 2017.During this meeting, HEFA board approved projects worth Rs. 2066.73 Cr to improve the research infrastructure in six institutions – IITs Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Kharagpur, Kanpur and NIT Suratkal.These projects will help the institutions to improve their standing at the global level.

Procurement of naval communication sets

The Defence Ministry approved procurement of 260 naval communication sets at a cost of Rs490 crore to improvise surveillance on the high seas.The decision to procure these communication sets was taken at a meeting of the Defence Acquisition Council chaired by Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.It will be the first batch of indigenously designed and developed “software defined” radio sets.

12th Inter-State Council meeting

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh chaired the 12th meeting of the Standing Committee of Inter-State Council on Nov 25. The Standing Committee in 12th meeting discussed 118 recommendations contained in Volumes-III, IV and V and finalised its recommendations. Inter State council is a constitutional body under Article 263 of the constitution.

Centre initiates safecity plan for women

Centre has initiated the process of formulating comprehensive safe-city plans for women in 8 metropolitan cities of the country. Asia-Europe Foreign Ministers’ Meeting

Two-day 13th Asia-Europe Foreign Ministers’ Meeting begun on November 20, 2017, in Nay Pyi Taw, the capital of Myanmar. The meeting was inaugurated by Aung San Suu Kyi, the de facto leader of Myanmar. The meeting was held with an objective to boost cooperation between Asia and Europe in political, economic, social and cultural spheres. Representatives from 51 countries attended the meeting.

Qaumi Ekta Week Observed Across Country

The Qaumi Ekta Week is being observed across the country from 19th November to foster and reinforce the spirit of communal harmony and national Integration. As part of the week long programmes, 19 November was observed as National Integration Day. The last day of the Qaumi Ekta Week will be observed as Conservation Day and several meetings and functions will be organized.

SARTTAC Steering Committee meeting held

An interim meeting of the Steering Committee of the IMF’s South Asia Regional Training and Technical Assistance Center was held in New Delhi. The SARTTAC Steering Committee meeting was held to assess the Center’s activities and to review the Fiscal Year 2018 Work Plan. Officials from all 6 member countries attended, together with the Development Partner representatives and IMF staff.

Aditi, First Indian to Qualify for LPGA

Aditi Ashok has qualified for the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship on the LPGA. She has become first in the country to play in the prestigious meet. The 19-year-old prodigy from Bengaluru is one of the eight rookies to make it to the Tour Championships in what is one of the strongest fields in women’s golf.

APEC summit held in Vietnam

Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting was held on 10th and 11th November, 2017 in Da Nang, Vietnam. Theme of this meeting was ‘Creating New Dynamism, Fostering a Shared Future’. Leaders of 21 Pacific Rim countries attended this meeting. This was the first APEC meeting for several leaders.

Cooperation in Indo-Pacific Region

Officials from India, Australia, the US and Japan met and discussed issues relating to cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. It is seen as a first move to set up a quadrilateral grouping to pursue common interests in the strategically key area. The move to set up the quadrilateral comes in the backdrop of growing Chinese assertiveness in the South China Sea.

The 2nd meeting of the Economic Advisory Council to PM Modi spelt out a clear road map towards skill development, job creation; enhanced resource investment in the social sector. The meeting was chaired by Bibek Debroy. Economic Advisory Council to the PM is a non-constitutional, non-permanent and independent body constituted to give economic advice to the GoI, specifically the PM.

Birendra re-elected as President of IWLF

Birendra Prasad Baishya was re-elected as President of the Indian Weightlifting Federation (IWLF) in the Annual General Body Meeting. The newly formed Executive Committee of IWLF consists of seven vice-presidents, and Sahdev Yadav has become the secretary general. IWLF is a national governing body that oversees weightlifting in India.

India & US held 11th TPF Meeting

The 11th Trade Policy Forum Meeting was held in Washington D.C., US. In the 11th TPF Meeting, Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry, Suresh Prabhu had productive discussions with the United States. During the meeting, discussions were held on issues like market access in agriculture, non-agricultural goods and services and Intellectual Property Rights.

Air Chief Marshal visits Vietnam

Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh is on an official visit to Vietnam from 30 Oct 17 to 03 Nov 17. During his visit, he is scheduled to hold bilateral meeting with Vietnam People’s Air Force. The main focus of the visit would be on improving bilateral relations, promoting defence ties and evolving steps to further strengthen defence cooperation between the two Air Forces.

India, US to implement HOSTAC

In a bid to strengthen maritime security, India and the United States have agreed to implement the programme for Helicopter Operations from Ships other Than Aircraft Carriers (HOSTAC). India, US to implement HOSTAC to strengthen maritime security. This decision was taken during a meeting between Indian Defense Minister, Ms. Nirmala Sitharama and US Secretary of Defence Jim Mattis.

New Associate member of BCCI

The Committee of Administrators chose Puducherry as an associate member in the Indian cricket board. The Cricket Association of Puducherry (CAP) was chosen by the Committee of Administrators (CoA) as an associate member of the BCCI. The BCCI approved Puducherry’s associate membership in its Senior General Meeting in October 2017.

Indian-Origin Couple Gets US Award

26 : Indian-origin South African researchers were honored with a prestigious award for their exceptional contributions in the field of HIV/AIDS. Professors Salim Abdool Karim & Quarraisha Abdool Karim received the award from the Institute for IHV in Baltimore, US. The award was presented to them by Robert Gallo, who discovered HIV as the cause of AIDS‚ at the 19th international meeting of the IHV

Bangladesh Signs Gas Oil Deal with India

Bangladesh has signed a long-term sales and purchase agreement with an Indian refiner to import gas oil to meet the country’s energy demand. The deal between Bangladesh Petroleum Corp. and Numaligarh Refinery Ltd was signed in presence of India’s external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj. Under the deal, BPC will take up to 250,000 tonnes of gas oil each year from NRL for the first three years

Sitharaman to attend meet in Philippines

In her first foreign visit as Defence Minister, Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman left for the Philippines to attend the Southeast Asian Defence Ministers’ Meeting. The two-day ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting will discuss ways to enhance defense and security cooperation among the member nations. Sitharaman will also hold bilateral talks with her counterparts from a number of countries.

Power exports from India to Bangladesh

21 : Electricity imports from India may meet nearly a quarter of Bangladesh’s total demand for power in the next couple of years. India currently exports 660 MW of electricity, on a daily basis, to Bangladesh. Of the total supplies, 500 MW is transmitted to Bangladeshi power grid through Bheramara in Mursidabad and the remaining 160 MW through Suryamaninagar in Tripura.

India, Brazil, S.A. sign agreement

India, Brazil and South Africa signed the IBSA Trust Fund Agreement that seeks to combat poverty in developing countries. The agreement was signed during 8th IBSA trilateral Ministerial Commission Meeting in Durban, South Africa. The IBSA Fund was created in 2004. India, Brazil and South Africa (IBSA) contributes USD 1 million annually to this fund. Fund is managed by UNDP Special Unit.

India on solid growth track: Christine

15 : The combination of fiscal consolidation, lower inflation and structural reforms will deliver more employment and jobs to the Indian workforce, said Christine Lagarde, Managing Director, IMF. She told reporters during the meeting of the IMFC. She said, though the IMF has scaled down India’s GDP forecast to 6.7% for 2017, India is on a much more “solid growth track”.

Aerial survey of Tapi

To meet the demand of potable water in future, the Surat Municipal Corporation started a heliborne survey of Tapi riverbed and its banks. The SMC has thus become the first civic body in the country to carry out a scientific study to find out potable water. Through this survey, scanning will be done around 500 m beneath the riverbed to identify and locate confined and saturated aquifer.

EAC-PM to hold its first meeting

The first meeting of the newly constituted Economic Advisory Council to the PM, will be held on Oct 11 at NITI Aayog. The Council has been set up with the approval of the PM on 26th September 2017 and is comprised of reputed economists and experts. The Council will address all issues of emergent importance, will engage with a broad spectrum of stakeholders and formulate advice accordingly.

India-Australia meeting held

The first meeting of India-Australia Joint Steering Committee was held in New Delhi. This meeting is a follow-up to the MoU on Cooperation in Combating International Terrorism and Transnational Organized Crime between India and Australia. The two sides agreed to pursue further the agenda for cooperation in specific areas with meetings of operational Joint Working Groups.

Strategy to revitalize PPPs in India

The Asian Development Bank, in its report titled “Meeting Asia’s Infrastructure Needs”, has estimated that $4.36 trillion is needed to fix India’s infrastructure deficit by 2030. That entails more than $300 billion of spending every year for the next 13 years, as compared to recent spend rates of $120 billion per year. Mathru Poorna scheme

Karnataka government launched Mathru Poorna scheme for pregnant women. The scheme is meant to meet the nutritional needs of pregnant and lactating women in rural areas. Under the programme, pregnant and lactating poor women in rural areas will get one nutritious meal daily for 25 days in a month. The scheme will be implemented through anganwadis in State.

Retirement age of govt doctors raised

Union cabinet has increased the retirement age of central govt doctors to 65 years with an aim to meet the shortage of medical staff in the country. Govt’s decision will be applicable to all AYUSH & central govt doctors and dentists except those in the Central Health Service. India has a little more than 1 million modern medicine doctors to treat its population of 1.3 bn people.

Air India ties up with PNB, IndusInd

Air India has tied up with PNB & IndusInd to secure loans to the tune of over Rs. 3,000 crore for meeting working capital requirements. Funds will be used for repayment of dues to airport operators, oil companies & other vendors. Under a turnaround plan approved by previous govt, Air India is to receive up to Rs. 30,231 cr from govt subject to meeting certain performance thresholds.

Airtel deploys Massive MIMO

Bharti Airtel has announced the deployment of India’s first Massive Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) technology which is a key enabler for 5G networks. It is a pre-5G technology that will make network future ready for meeting data demand coming from digital revolution & data explosion in India. It helps in improving coverage & reducing interference across users in different beams.

First social, people-to-people dialogue

The first social & people-to-people dialogue between China & US will be held in Washington. Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong will co-chair the dialogue with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
