Japanese bank donates to orphanage

A Japanese bank, on Sept. 20, made donations to an orphanage home in the presence of Consul-General of Japan, Masanori Nakano, on the occasion of its volunteer day. Mizuho Bank Ltd., Chennai branch, which was opened November last, donated mosquito nets, repellents, hand sanitisers and soaps to Seva Samajam Children’s Home in Pallipattu. Employees of the bank engaged with the children by demonstrating the importance of cleanliness and washing of hands. Additionally, they explained the basics of banking and saving to the children.
