India and Kyrgyzstan Sign 6 Agreements

India & Kyrgyzstan have signed six MoU including in the fields of tourism, agriculture & food industry, youth development, broadcasting & exchange of audio-visual programmes. The agreements were inked after delegation level talks between President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Sharshenovich Atambayev & PM Modi in New Delhi. The two leaders also reviewed cooperative engagement in the field of defence.

India Approves MoU with Kyrgyzstan

The govt has approved a MoU between India & Kyrgyzstan on cooperation in field of agriculture and food related industry. The proposed agreement covers various activities in the field of agriculture and allied sector. The proposed agreement will come into force on the date of its signing and would be for a period of 5 years & provides for setting up of a Joint Working Group from both countries.

Nabard to Fund 2 lakh PoS Deployment

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development has announced that it will provide 2 Point of Sale (PoS) devices in villages having population of 10,000. Over one lakh villages have been selected for the purpose. NABARD chairman Mr. Bhanwala said the project likely to cost about 120 crore rupees. NABARD will also help in the procurement of EMV chip and PIN-based RuPay Kisan Cards.

Nabard to Allocate ` 21,000 cr

The National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has been asked to sanction ` 21,000 crore to district cooperative banks. It aims to fund the crop loan demands of small and marginal farmers. About 40 per cent of the credit needs of farmers is taken care of by such banks. Banks have also been advised to make cash available to district cooperative banks.

Telangana Govt Inks Pact with Microsoft

Telangana government has signed an MoU with Microsoft Corporation India. Under the MoU. Microsoft will help the government to explore cloud, machine learning and mobile-based solutions to improve citizen services, education & agriculture. The State has also launched an innovative ICT enabled solution for govt schools called TS-CLASS (Telangana State Computer Literacy & Skills in Schools).
