Supreme Court hailed for action to tackle corruption

Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy hailed the Supreme Court for the speedy trial in the 2G Spectrum corruption case, which was giving hope to the people that corrupt people would be held accountable. Under the leadership of Chief Justice S.H. Kapadia there had been a fundamental change in the attitude to corruption. He said that but for the cumulative affect of corruption, such as 2G spectrum, the country could have been growing of a rate of 13-14 per cent annaully. Also he said black money was going to foreign banks thanks to “hawala” via Pakistan. Inflation was often an artificial phenomenon in India due to the operation of black money, he added.
