• Manipur assembly passes Protection of Manipur People Bill, 2015: 2 amendment bills, Shops and Establishments (2nd Amendment) Bill, 2015 and Land Revenue and Land Reforms (7th Amendment) Bill, 2015.
• Law Commission of India submitted its report on Death Penalty after 53 years -272 page draft report.
• India host the World Hindi Conference after a gap of 32 years in Bopal , MP-organised by Ministry of External Affairs – Theme: “Hindi Jagat: Vistar evam Sambhavnai”.
• Railway launches 3 IT initiatives developed by Centre For Railway Information Systems (CRIS) Paperless unreserved ticket, ATVMs (Automatic Ticket Vending Machines) and ‘Parichalaan’ mobile application for freight operations.
• Western Central Railway – HQ in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh -1st to close all the unmanned railway crossings.
• India and Belarus agreed to increase the trade target from present level of USD 400 million to an ambitious USD 1 Billion by 2018 at 7th session of the India-Belarus Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation.
• First-ever Census on India’s Leopard presented – 12,000 to 14,000.
• Centre decided to provide additional 50 days of work in drought-hit areas under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) scheme – presently 100 days.
