• China launched its new communication satellite “APSTAR-9” in a commercial mission by the Long March-3B carrier rocket from the southwestern Xichang Satellite Launch Centre.
• Australia launches its communications satellite named “Sky Muster (NBN-Co 1A)” on Ariane 5ECA rocket from Guiana Space Centre in Kourou.
• World’s highest terrestrial centre labelled as “Extreme Altitude Research Centre” inaugurated by DRDO chief S Christopher at Habitat in Ladakh
• China launches commercial remote-sensing satellites “Jilin-1” satellites, launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre.
• Indian Railways launches app to book unreserved tickets – Mumbai suburban sections, New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin stations.
• Iran test-fires new generation long-range ballistic missiles called Emad (Pillar).
• China launched Tianhui-1C mapping satellite of Tianhui-1.
